1 Cross, Wilbur & Novotny, Ann WHITE HOUSE WEDDINGS
New York: David McKay Company, Inc., (1967). First edition. Hardcover. Tiny offset letters to the free endpapers, else very nearly fine in white cloth with spine titles gilt; in a photo-pictorial dust jacket. 248 pages, forty-one b&w plates, and an index.
A history of weddings held in the White House, detailing every ceremony including a little-known one in 1801 which is ten years earlier than the one credited with being the first. A look at American history from an unusual perspective.

2 Lewis, Mary E.; in collaboration with Dorothy Dignam THE MARRIAGE OF DIAMONDS AND DOLLS: Including the History of American Bridal Customs
New York: H.L. Lindquist Publications, (1947). First edition. Hardcover. The faintest suggestion of wear to the extremities, else this is a fine copy in cream cloth stamped in gilt with devices and lettering to both front cover and spine, on coated stock; in a dust jacket that exhibits some fading, mild edgewear and rubbing.
Both a Bride's Magazine-endorsed history of bridal fashions, jewelry and customs, and a bound exhibit of Mrs. Lewis's remarkable collection of historical bride dolls. Generously illustrated with photographs of the dolls. A most appealing oddity.
