Dark grey cloth with with yellow rules and spine lettering. Hardcover. Mild uniform offsetting to the front endpaper, else a fine, fresh copy; in a very nearly fine dust jacket with a hint of fading to the spine. 165 pages; with an appendix. A rare cinema cornerstone work in remarkably nice condition. 
Composer Hanns Eisler collaborated anonymously with his intellectual partner and friend Theodor W. Adorno on this important technical and aesthetic work. Together with Adorno and Brecht, Eisler sought new possibilites for film and theatrical music.
