Lavishly illustrated oversized tribute to the Native American potter of the San Ildefonso pueblo and the ancient tradition she represents. With 337 plates printed on coated stock, many full-page, full-color, including vibrant two-page spread title page.

Leman Hare. Hardcover. Near fine, a hint of fading to the spine, a suggestion of bruising to the corner tips; bound in mahogany-colored cloth, color paste-on illustration inset to front cover, lettered in embossed gilt to front cover and spine, top edge gilt ; no dust jacket. 
Graceful little study elegantly illustrated with sixteen bound-in plates--eight in color, from photos taken at the British Museum. With illustrated appendix of the makers' marks. A replacement copy of the cover paste-on illustration has been laid in.
