1 Bufano, Remo; Jagendorf, M., editor NINE SHORT PLAYS: Written for Young People to Stage
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1928. First edition. Hardcover. Very mild dust soiling to page edges, else fine; in a dust jacket that shows some age-toning, minor nicking and a very shallow chip to the lower spine panel. Illustrated with b&w costume and scenery designs by Bufano. A lovely copy.
Collection of children's plays with suggestions for staging, distinguished by Bufano's striking black-red-and-white illustrated endpapers and wraparound jacket art. Bufano was a prominent figure in the puppet theatre renaissance in NYC in the 1920's.
