1 Rinehart, Mary Roberts TEMPERAMENTAL PEOPLE
New York: George H. Doran Company, (1924). First edition. Hardcover. Owner's name to front pastedown, hint of fading to spine, else fine, in bright blue cloth stamped in gilt; in an illustrated dust jacket with shallow chipping at the spine ends, darkening to the spine, mild edgewear, short tear to front panel. Lovely!
Very appealing collection of stories from the prolific crime novelist and queen of the "Had I But Known" School; each tale a character study...a queen, a secretary, a sculptor, a singer, a wife, a cowboy, a philanderer, a dough boy.

2 [Macdonald, Ross]. Millar, Kenneth THE THREE ROADS
New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1948. First edition. Hardcover. Very good in worn, rubbed and soiled dust jacket that shows nicking to the edges, and narrow chipping to the spine ends; both flaps have been clipped at the corners.
The last of Millar's four pre-"Ross Macdonald" crime novels--scarce in jacket. Surrealist artwork by Arthur Hawkins, Jr.
Price: 450.00 USD
