Following the success of STAGECOACH, Ford formed indy Argosy Pictures with producer Cooper. Some of the director's best films were Argosy productions, including THE QUIET MAN, FORT APACHE and SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON. The company was dissolved in 1956.
