Garden City, New York: Doubleday & Company, Inc., (1981). Book club edition. Hardcover. Fine in an age-toned illustrated dust jacket. Jacket by Bob Korn. Production credits, list of characters, four production photographs. 
A comedy set on Long Island, that premiered on Broadway at the Ethel Barrymore Theater, directed by Mike Nichols and starring Sam Waterston and Gilda Radner. Kerr is the wife of critic Walter Kerr, and the author of PLEASE DON'T EAT THE DAISIES.

2 Lindsay, Howard & Crouse, Russel THE GREAT SEBASTIANS: A Melodramatic Comedy
New York: Random House, (1956). First edition. Hardcover. Near fine, with paste-on inset production photo to front cover; in a dust jacket with tanning to the spine panel, and very minor wear to the shelf edges. Production credits, frontispiece and two additional production photos. 
Lindsay and Crouse wrote LIFE WITH FATHER, the Pulitzer Prize-winning STATE OF THE UNION, and the books for ANYTHING GOES and THE SOUND OF MUSIC. The premiere of this comedy was in 1956 at the Anta Theatre, starring Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt.

3 Moore, George THE BENDING OF THE BOUGH: A Comedy in Five Acts
London: T. Fisher Unwin, 1900. First edition. Hardcover. Previous owner's attractive bookplate to the front pastedown, one lower corner tip bumped, light shelfwear, and slight tanning to the spine, else very good plus in teal cloth with gilt titles, page edges untrimmed. 
Edward Martyn's play THE TALE OF A TOWN, which was to be part of the second season of the Irish Literary Theatre, was rejected because W.B. Yeats felt the play was crude, so Martyn turned it over to his distant cousin Moore to rewrite.

4 O'Brien, Liam THE REMARKABLE MR. PENNYPACKER
New York: Random House, (1954). First edition. Hardcover. Near fine, with b&w production photo to the cover; in an illustrated dust jacket with mild wear to the edges, and a tiny closed edge tear to the upper front panel. Double-spread frontispiece and title-page b&w photo, two additional b&w production photos. 
A comedy in three acts that opened at the Coronet Theatre in New York with Burgess Meredith in the title role. O'Brien wrote the screenplay HERE COMES THE GROOM, directed by Frank Capra, and produced the television shows "Police Story" and "Miami Vice."
