Cover shows a Confederate soldier shot through the heart by a backgrounded Yank who stands, smoking gun in hand, in front of a bank of Hollywood klieg lights. 
Originally published in THE PHANTOM DETECTIVE pulp for August, 1939. The Phantom (in reality, wealthy playboy Richard Curtis Van Loan) had the third longest run for a pulp hero, outlasted only by Doc Savage and The Shadow. SIGNED by artist Bonfils!
