SIGNED by Powers upside down--as always!--to the title-page. Hardcover. Very nearly fine in maroon cloth with gilt lettering to the spine; in an illustrated dust jacket. Black-and-white jacket art by James Gurney. 
A limited hardcover issue of the 1976 pbo from Laser Books. Powers second novel (THE SKIES DISCROWNED was also issued in 1976), concerns a reluctant monk in post-holocaust southern California.
