Francestown, New Hampshire: The Golden Quill Press Publishers, (1956). First edition, first printing. A Selection of the Book Club for Poetry. Bookplate of Rose and Milt Forman to front pastedown. Hardcover. Fine, in gilt-stamped bright blue shelfback over grey composition boards; in a dust jacket that shows a chip to the lower spine, interior nick to center of spine panel, nicking and a short tear at spine crown, nicks at corners. 
Third book of verse from the Ukrainian poet and potter, who was educated in Chicago and settled in Los Angeles. This copy inscribed to Rose and Milt Forman and SIGNED by the author to the front free endsheet.

Prairie City, Illinois: The Press of James A. Decker, (1939). First edition, first printing: a trade-sized paperbound book. Dated in the year of publication, and SIGNED by the author. An about near fine copy, with some age-darkening at the borders of the covers, slight fading to spine, mild corner creasing to lower rear cover, faint crease to front cover, a few tiny tears to edges; in perfect-bound printed wraps. 
First book from the L.A. poet. "Born in the Ukraine during the time of the terrible pogroms. Pillin made it to Chicago in 1923, and English became his adopted language."--Lionel Rolfe. Includes "San Pedro Interlude," "Bread," "Requiem for the '30's."
