A lovely book by one of the country's most acclaimed illustrator of such books as THE FOX WENT OUT ON A CHILLY NIGHT and NOAH'S ARK; this is the story of two children who spend a pleasant day daydreaming and watching the clouds change shape.

Jessica Reynolds was ten when she and her family set sail on a three-year voyage around the world on a 50-foot yacht designed by her father. This is her journal of the journey accompanied by Spier's b&w intext sketches.

Spier's trademark panorama-epic style is cleverly used on a continuous accordian fold-out, with a complete wordless story illustration on one side, and text/picture combination on the verso. The grand finale endings have 3-D shadow-box illustrations.
