1 Wilson, P.W. BRIDE'S CASTLE
New York/Toronto: Farrar and Rinehart, Inc., (1944). B000GLPQSE First edition, first printing. Hardcover. Small areas of faint dampstaining to both covers, rubber-stamp to rear pastedown, rust-spotting to upper cover and page edges, thus very good minus; in a good only dust jacket: worn, rubbed, faded to spine, cello-taped at spine ends, slighty stained.
In 1943, American GIs inspire the Archdeacon Trevinning to recount the mysterious crimes at Helme Castle which occurred exactly 50 years earlier. Debut of series detective Sir Julian Morthoe, who returned in BLACK TARN and THE OLD MILL.
