1 Matheson, Richard A STIR OF ECHOES
Philadelphia and New York: J. B. Lippincott Company, (1958). First edition, first printing. Hardcover. Very good: mild spine slant, shelf edges and corner tips worn, abrasion at spine ends, and some soiling to the covers; lacking the dust jacket.
Neat little tale of ghostly vengeance set against Matheson's wonted everyday backdrop. Foreshadows a number of later works, including CLOSE ENCOUNTERS and SIXTH SENSE. Nicely adapted in 1999 into a film with Kevin Bacon effective in the everyman lead.
