Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1937. First edition thus. Hardcover. Nearly invisible offset to front endsheets, else near fine, in black-lettered coral binding; in price-clipped pictorial dust jacket with a creased snag to the front panel, abraded patch to spine panel, nicking, rubbing, edge tears and attendant creasing. 
Sidney (pseudonym for Harriet Lothrop) wrote a dozen Pepper tales whose appeal has scarcely waned in a hundred years. This penultimate title in the series is from the appealing Houghton reprint editions, all with color frontis-paintings by Arthur Becher.

The tenth entry in the warm, gentle and cheerful adventures of the Pepper family. This attractive vintage Houghton edition features a charming color frontispiece by Arthur Becher.
