(Erin, Ontario): (Press Porcepic), 1973. First edition. The glue affixing the tissue-guard to the frontispiece has browned, a few mild creases and dents to the covers, else a near fine copy in a padded leatherette binding with titles and decorations in white; decorative endpapers. 
A scholarly study. 211 pages; with bibliography, appendices, and an index. Errata sheet laid in. The frontispiece, a photograph of Malcolm Lowry with Margerie (at Lieben, Bowen Island, B.C.), was taken by Earle Birney. Illustrations by Manly P. Hall.

Lippincott Company, (1962). 022460452X / 9780224604529 First U.S. edition. Hardcover. Faint spotting to the top page edges, the fading at the edges usually associated with this book, else a near fine copy; in a slightly age-toned and nicked pictorial dust jacket with a closed tear and foxing to the rear panel. 
An earlier version of Malcolm Lowry's first novel was published in England in 1933 by Jonathan Cape--this is the first edition to contain revisions incorporated by the author after 1933.
