Highlands: Jonathan Williams, 1957. First edition, one of 2,500 printed. A trade-sized paperback. Hardcover. Mild rubbing to the spine extremities, slight staining to the lower page edges, else near fine in wraps with stiff illustrated dust jacket attached at the inner flaps, as issued. 
SIGNED by the author to the front endpaper. A collection of playful free verse limericks, each heightened by the accompaniment of a whimsical drawing by the poet.

Patchen is the author of more than forty books, is the developer of poetry-jazz, and a master of the picture-poem form. Henry Miller said about him in 1957, "Kenneth Patchen is now and will remain one of the outstanding figures in American letters."
