New York, N.Y.: Dell Publishing Company, [1951]. First edition thus: Dell Book #497; cover price, $.25. Tight solid, very good plus copy with some mild rubbing and faint creases at the extremities. Cover art by Robert Stanley shows a man and woman--unconscious or dead, the woman's sprawling, naked body strategically draped by the title banner.
Macdonald's last novel under his own name, in a striking Dell mapback edition with sensational Stanley cover painting. Rear cover depicts "sunny California" with four insets.
