[Tokyo]: [Shogakkan], [1972]. Third edition. Decorative cloth with a light grey spine, Japanese spine titles in gold, red, and brown. Hardcover. Fine in a fine illustrated dust jacket; in an illustrated cardboard slipcase (slightly scratched). Quarto. 250 pages. 186 full-color photographic plates and 121 black-and-white illustrations. 
Volume 21of a series of 30 volumes on Japanese culture and art. With the exception of English identification of plates, the text is in Japanese. The 186 plates display Samurai armour, swords, daggers, and sword guards, all in beautiful color. Scarce!
