New York: Random House, (1959). B0006AW0LG First edition, first printing. Hardcover. Hint of dust soiling to the upper page edges, else fine, in black cloth with stamping in orange, silver, blue and lavender; in a price-clipped, age-toned, lightly worn, near fine dust jacket. 
An earthquake hits in the Mexican town of Choluca and a group of expatriates get a second chance borne out of violence and compassion. Yes, co-written by Uncle Miltie, whose photo adorns the rear panel of the jacket.

London: Abelard-Schuman, (1958). First edition. Hardcover. Lightly edge-foxed, faint offsetting to endpapers, previous owner's signature to pastedown, else a very good plus copy, in a dust jacket with some minor edgewear, age-toning, and foxing; with one closed tear to interior rear panel. Albeit a nice copy. 
"I've got it down as I remember it: the brainwashing and why it happened to me." With nightmarishly creepy jacket art by "CWB."

New York: Simon and Schuster, (1949). First edition. An Inner Sanctum Mystery. With publisher's response postcard laid in. Hardcover. A sharp, very nearly fine copy in an age-toned dust jacket that shows some nicking to spine ends and to lower edge of rear panel, a closed edge tear to upper spine at rear spine fold. 
Mystery novel featuring Johnny Devereaux, a hardboiled twenty-year veteran of the NYC police force. Devereaux also appears in THE HOLLOW MAN. Roeburt won an Edgar for a 1949 episode of the radio series INNER SANCTUM.

An Inner Sanctum Mystery. Hardcover. Erasure scar and tiny chip to front endsheet, which also bears a red felt pen strike-out of an earlier price; else a sharp near fine copy in orange boards; in a dust jacket that is age-toned, worn, lightly soiled, nicked, edge-torn, with tiny damp stain. 
First book appearance of about-to-retire twenty-year veteran cop Johnny Devereaux, in this mystery from the multi-faceted Roeburt, who also wrote plays, screenplays, radio dramas (he won an Edgar), novelizations and short stories.
