New York: Albert & Charles Boni, 1926. B00085LKVK First edition. One-quarter gilt titled black clothback over bright green cloth with titles and device embossed in gold to the front panel. Hardcover. Very good, a worn, lightly shaken example, with owner's bookplate to front pastedown; lacking dust jacket.
Considered the first major novel of Hollywood, JARNEGAN traces the career of Jack Jarnegan, drifter, ex-convict, and later--the greatest director in Hollywood. A moderately successful dramatization of the novel was produced in New York in 1928. In Slide.

An entry in the Tower Fiction series. Hardcover. Very mild crimp at spine head, upper tips very lightly bruised, else a sharp, bright, fine copy, in blue boards lettered in orange, with vivid orange top-edge coloring; in a like, very nearly fine illustrated dust jacket. An extraordinary example!
