Lawrence Hoffman. Hardcover. Pages tanned, as expected, else fine, in sea-foam boards with black lettering, rules and vignette, reddish upper page edge tint; in a lightly rubbed, faintly age-toned, very good plus dust jacket, showing just a hint of fading to the spine panel. 
Story of a handsome young man who is determined to murder the girl he loves. Levin's debut won the first Edgar for best first novel, has been adapted to film twice, in 1956 with Robert Wagner and Joanne Woodward, in 1991 with Matt Dillon and Sean Young.

Pleasantville, New York: ImPress, [No date.] 0762102519 / 9780762102518 Reprint. Hardcover. Mild spine slant, else fine in blood-red boards decorated with black lettering and silver-stamped lips to the front cover; issued without dust jacket. 
Levin's thriller won the Edgar Award for first novel in 1953. A young sociopath kills his wealthy pregnant girlfriend, and then begins to date the victim's sister. The book was filmed twice starring Robert Wagner in 1956 and Matt Dillon in 1991.
