1 van Loon, Hendrik Willem OBSERVATIONS ON THE MYSTERY OF PRINT And the Work of Johann Gutenberg
New York: New York Times Second National Book Fair/Book Manufacturer's Institute, 1937. B000HKHJPC First edition, first printing. Hardcover. About near fine: a trifle shaken, with fading to the spine, age-toning to the pages. In blue cloth with gilt lettering and devices; soiling, wear, and substantial darkening to the dust jacket, which is split at the rear spine fold, thus good only.
Attractive little treatise on the history of printing, written and illustrated by van Loon and designed by Frederic W. Goudy at the behest of the Book Manufacturers' Institute for distribution at their second annual Book Fair. [47] pages.
