New York: Phoenix Press, Publishers, (1945). B0007FLVG0 First edition, first printing. Tiny areas of faint stain to upper page edges, bookman's label to pastedown, thus near fine, in speckled olive binding with green spine titles; in a bright, sharp, very good jacket, with cello-tape reinforced short tears to the upper spine and front. 
A Keeler standalone webwork mystery which begins with Margaret Annister in a Nevada City jail cell awaiting execution in the gas chamber for a murder she has not committed.

New York: E.P. Dutton & Co., Inc., 1938. B0006AOBUY First U.S. edition, first printing. Hardcover. Near fine in tan cloth with titles in black; in an illustrated dust jacket with very mild shelfwear, light nicking to the extremities, and soiling to the rear panel. A pleasing copy. 
Dust jacket features an airbrushed spotlight design. THE MYSTERIOUS MR. I was first published in London by Ward Lock in 1937 and an expanded version appeared in the U.S. as the two volumes: THE MYSTERIOUS MR. I and THE CHAMELEON.

Cranberry cloth with black spine lettering; in dust jacket. Hardcover. Evidence of the removal of a bookplate to the front pastedown endpaper, lower corner tip bumped, else very good; in a worn very good, illustrated dust jacket with chipping, creases, and tears. Dust jacket art by "A.F.B." features a skull-in-ice design.

London and Melbourne: Ward, Lock & Co., Limited, (1931). First edition thus. Hardcover. A very good copy in brown boards, slightly shaken, with wear at the extremities, offsetting to the endsheets, tiny patch of dampstain; in a creased, edgetorn, rubbed, nicked and soiled illustrated dust jacket. Small octavo. 
"The hero is paid by a father to impersonate his dead son.... no lover of ingenious fiction can afford to miss it." According to the HSK Society, Ward Lock's generic mystery jacket art--used here, seems based on the WL 1st edition art for this title.
