1 White, T.H. THE SWORD IN THE STONE
New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1939. B0006AONEI Reprint. Hardcover. Very good only: pages age-toned, spine ends frayed, dust-soiling and discoloration to spine, fingering to covers; blue cloth with gilt stamping, doublespread illustrated endpapers by Robert Lawson, interior decorations by the author; lacking dust jacket.
First volume of White's masterpiece chronicles the education and training of young King Arthur, who was to become the greatest of Britain's legendary rulers. This first entry was substantially revised when included as part of THE ONCE AND FUTURE KING.

2 White, T.H. THE WITCH IN THE WOOD
New York: G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1939. First edition. With decorations by the author. Hardcover. Hint of offsetting to the endsheets, whisper of edgewear, the merest suggestion of a crease to the spine, else a near fine copy in a dust jacket that is heavily edgeworn and nicked, creased to the spine and front panel, and chipped at the spine ends.
Second volume in White's Arthurian epic THE ONCE AND FUTURE KING. White's keen scholarship and vivid imagination, his unique blend of lyricism, wit, mythopoetics, and knockabout comedy is rendered in effortlessly eloquent prose.
Price: 150.00 USD
