(London): Hodder and Stoughton, (1934). Reprint of the U.K. edition. First issued in the U.K. in 1933. In red blind-debossed boards, black spine stamping; pictorial dust jacket. Hardcover. Foxing to page edges and to front and rear matter, owner's name to endsheet, else near fine; in a very good dust jacket: edgeworn, rubbed, some soiling, a few short edge tears with mild creasing; jacket art bright and vivid! 
Writer Colin Hewitt is visited by school chum Reddy Turner, who wants him to deliver a letter in the event of his death; a few minutes later, the criminal The Mask enters Colin's Greenwich Village apartment (in disguise as usual) and kills Reddy!

First issued in the U.S. in 1933 by the Crime Club.. Hardcover. Fine, a superb bright copy in black cloth with vivid red cover titles and illustrations; in a near fine, illustrated dust jacket with just a hint of edge wear.
