1 Wells, Lee E. THE LONG NOOSE
London: T.V. Boardman & Company Limited, (1953). First U.K. edition. Hardcover. Very good plus with stain spots to spine, faint offsetting to endpapers, tanning to pages, and light edgewear; in dust jacket with a number of substantial chips, tears, creases and nicks, and small interior chips to front panel and spine.
Dust jacket illustration is intact, however, and it's a honey: bright, action-packed, colorful depiction of a three-way slugfest, with two of the combatants armed and one astride a very spooked horse. A Five Point Western Novel.

2 Wells, Lee E. THE LONG NOOSE
New York: Rinehart & Company, Inc., (1953). First edition. Hardcover. Near fine with a very slight lean, pages uniformly tanned, spine head and tail lightly rumpled; in dust jacket with tiny nicks to spine ends, a couple of minute closed edge tears to rear panel, and with some age-toning to the rear panel.
A Texas panhandle western with mystery and detective elements. The cover illustration by Mort Kuntsler depicts the brothers Hall standing shoulder to shoulder in a deserted, sun-beaten main street. A bright, attractive copy.
Price: 35.00 USD
