1 Cross, John Keir THE MAN IN MOONLIGHT: The Tale of a Twice Lost Cause...
London: John Westhouse, 1947. First edition. Hardcover. Some abrasion to lower edges, a trace of soiling, else an about near fine copy in grey cloth; in lightly soiled and slightly age-darkened illustrated dust jacket. Quite a nice example of a rather elusive title.
Literate, haunting, historical tale of David Galbraith, Chevalier of the Court of King James II and VIII, set during the rebellion of 1745, told in the form of journals and letters, and superbly decorated "in the manner of the period" by Robin Jacques.
