1 Clark, Walter Van Tilburg THE OX-BOW INCIDENT
New York: Random House, (1940). First edition, first printing (stated). Hardcover in dust jacket. The usual tanned offsetting to the end papers and joints (a reaction to the binder's glue), lower corner tips mildly stubbed, else a near fine copy in the publisher's original coarse oatmeal colored cloth; in a fine high quality FACSIMILE dust jacket.
Clark's first published novel adapted to the 1943 Academy Award nominated film directed by William A. Wellman and starring Henry Fonda and Harry Morgan. Two drifters are drawn into a lynch mob to find and hang three men presumed to be rustlers and the killers of a local man. A western classic!

2 Clark, Walter Van Tilburg THE TRACK OF THE CAT
New York: Random House, (1949). First edition, first printing. Hardcover. Mild fading to the extremities, top page edges show some stains--possibly in production, else near fine in teal cloth; in a very good dust jacket that is price-clipped and shelfworn, with mild chipping, and several edge tears and creases.
Adventure western novel that explores the conflict between good and evil as four men track a marauding mountain lion. William Wellman directed the 1954 film adaptation starring Robert Mitchum and Teresa Wright.
