First book in the series. Hardcover. Small mild stain to the upper page edges, else very good plus in green cloth with gilt titles to the spine; in a very good plus dust jacket with very short tears accompanied by tiny creases to the shelf extremities. 
Marvelously inscribed by the author, revealing Clark's aspirations to emulate the title character Dulcie and with effervescent thanks to the inscribee--who is likened to Dulci--for years of friendship. Dated 1978 and SIGNED "Gail" to the front endpaper.

Intimately inscribed "with love" and SIGNED "Gail" by the author to the front endpaper. The 19th-century regency adventure sequel to DULCIE BLIGH finds the flamboyant and clairvoyant Baroness looking for a murder suspect among suitors.
