New York: The Macmillan Company, 1955. First edition. Hardcover. Very good copy with uniform fading to spine, upper and lower edge of both covers, minor offsetting to all endpapers, 2cm closed edge tear to half-title; in a dust jacket with nicks, wear and creasing to extremities, and several brown stains to the spine. 
The sea, sunken treasure, a terrified girl, two cold killers and a reluctant skipper are the ingredients of this adventure and suspense novel, in the first of Charles Williams' books to be published in hardback.

New York: The Viking Press, 1960. 0670615153 / 9780670615155 First edition, second printing. Hardcover. Near fine; in a price-clipped and shelfworn dust jacket with small chips to the spine ends, mild fading to the spine panel, a number of short edge tears, and light chipping and wear to the edges. 
Williams was the author of many nautical mysteries including DEAD CALM which became a popular film starring Nicole Kidman. This is the tale of a sea captain trying to clear his name of three deaths that took place aboard his boat.
