Caspary, Vera LAURA
Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, (1943). Book club edition. Hardcover. Inked name to the front endpaper, one lower corner tip lightly bumped, thus very good plus, in terra-cotta cloth with maroon lettering; in a very good, shelfworn illustrated dust jacket showing mild chipping and several edge tears.
Early reprint of Caspary's best novel, originally written as a play, but transformed into prose when the play at first failed to be garner interest. Best known these days, of course, as a result of the sublime Preminger film adaptation.
