1 Oates, Joyce Carol GARDEN OF EARTHLY DELIGHTS
New York: Vanguard Press, [1967]. First edition: Uncorrected Proofs in tall spiral-bound pale yellow wraps with the publishers' publication label attached to the inside cover. Proof. H.N. Swanson Literary Agency rubber-stamped address to the inside of the covers and the first few leaves, title written in ink to the bottom edge, covers display some shelfwear, creases, stains, and soiling, else a very good copy.
The author's most elusive trade hardcover here offered in an unrevised format. These early proofs were intended primarily for "in house" use and are seldom offered on the collector's market. Very rare.
