Very good only, flecking, soiling, light wear to covers, spine slightly slanted, interior quite clean; in green cloth with black lettering to spine, racing dog device to cover; lacking dust jacket. Burnett's novel about compulsive gambler Jim Turner was filmed in 1934 with Edward G. Robinson. This copy inscribed to Charles Davis, dated (1935), and SIGNED by the author to the title-page. The title is the name of the racing dog. Scarce in the U.K. Price:
