London: The Science Fiction Book Club by arrangement with Faber and Faber, 1961. First edition thus. Hardcover. Tiny bump to lower edge of front cover, soiling and a few dots of stain to page edges, thus about near fine; in grey composition binding with red-brown spine titling; in a somewhat spine-faded, lightly rubbed, and mildly foxed near fine dust jacket. 
This book club re-issue follows the Faber and Faber U.K. first and collects only five stories; the U.S. edition gathered eight. Included here: "Common Time"; "A Work of Art"; "To Pay the Piper"; "Nor Iron Bars"; "Beep"; and the short novel, "Beanstalk."
