Boston: Houghton Mifflin Company, 1952. First edition. Hardcover. Very good only, with label remnant to front pastedown, tape ghost to both free endsheets; in an illustrated dust jacket that is slightly trimmed, shows tape scars and shadows to both flaps. Jacket design by Robert C. Perrin. 
Gulick, the author of the novels THE HALLELUJAH TRAIL and BEND OF THE SNAKE, both adapted for the big screen, tells the story of Mark Bradley, a veteran of the Union Army, who heads west to Goldtown to find his love.
