New York: The Viking Press, (1973). 0670512230 / 9780670512232 First edition: Review copy, with publisher's slip laid in. Hardcover. Paperclip impression to the front endpaper, endsheets mildly age-toned, tiny spot to the fore-edge pages, and a thin band of fading to the shelf edges, else a very nearly fine copy; in an age-toned dust jacket that is mildly rubbed, hint of spine fading. 
In 1972, Barry Hannah published his first novel, GERONIMO REX, for which he won the William Faulkner Prize and earned a nomination for the National Book Award. NIGHT-WATCHMEN, his follow-up book, further secured Hannah's literary reputation.
