1 Bangs, John Kendrick IN CAMP WITH A TIN SOLDIER
New York: R.H. Russell & Son, (1892). First edition, first printing. With four illustrations by E.M. Ashe reproduced in black-and-white on coated stock inserts. Hardcover. A hint of fading to spine, some tiny areas of soiling to covers, else a bright, fresh, fine copy in red cloth with gilt spine lettering and soldier device, black and pale orange illustration and lettering to front cover; no dust jacket.
"Satiric fantasy featuring Bangs' series character Jimmieboy" (Salmonson) and his Alice-like adventures with the "titular animated tin soldier, a beautiful fairy godmother, giants so big Jimmieboy can sit in one hand" and the dreaded Parallelopipedon.

2 Taylor, Bert Lester; Folwell, Arthur Hamilton; Bangs, John Kendrick MONSIEUR D'EN BROCHETTE: Being An Historical Account of Some of the Adventures of Huevos Pasada Par Agua, Marquis of Pollio Grille, Count of Pate de Foie Gras, and Much Else Besides
New York: Keppler & Schwarzmann, 1905. First edition, first printing. Illustrated by Frank A. Nankivell. Hardcover. Fine, a lovely fresh example, in rich, satin-finish chianti cloth with gilt script lettering and stunning illustrative device of the title character, done in gilt and cream; no dust jacket. A discreet owner bookplate to pastedown detracts not at all.
Wild and witty pastiche of a Three Musketeers-style adventure novel, with lots of silly faux-Spanish and French; Nankivell's brilliant illustrations mischievously skewer the then voguish super-detailed pen-and ink style with a cartoonish irreverence.

3 Bangs, John Kendrick THE DREAMERS: A Club...Being a More or Less Faithful Account of the Literary Exercises of the First Regular Meeting of that Organization
New York and London: Harper & Brothers Publishers, 1899. B00085DH1Q First edition, first printing. Hardcover. A hint of foxing to endsheets and page edges, owner's name to endsheet, thus near fine, in brown cloth with orange-and-black lobster vignette to front, gilt lettering to front and spine; blue-gray top edge tint; fore and lower page edges untrimmed.
Satirical chronicle of a literary club and the tales they recount at their meetings. One of the yarns, "The Mystery of Pinkham's Diamond Stud" is a Sherlockian parody. With wonderful b&w illustrations by Edward Penfield.
