Pages age-toned, light wear to edges, some tiny pin-prick spotting to front cover; bound in two-tone grey and red cloth with black lettering and device; in a worn, nicked, age-darkened, very good minus dust jacket with tiny chip to head of spine panel. One of the earliest pictures of English knighthood, and a source for Arthurian tales, written by an unknown twelfth-century troubadour who heard the tale related at the court of Don Pedro, king of Aragon.
