6 Machen, Arthur THE GREAT GOD PAN And Other Weird Stories
New York: Editions for the Armed Services, Inc., [No date]. First edition: Paperback Original. #940. Mass market paperback. A whisper of edgewear, a hint of rubbing, else very nearly fine in staplebound, oblong wraps, illustrated with a miniature book in a jacket showing a white-gowned doctor holding a sharp surgical instrument looking down upon an unconscious young woman.
Original collection of Machen tales, including the unsettling title yarn, "The White People," "The Inmost Light," "The Recluse of Bayswater." Scarce title in the fragile series of books designed to fit snugly in a serviceman's pocket. Unusually nice.
