1 Robinson, Edwin Arlington DIONYSUS IN DOUBT: A Book of Poems
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1925. First edition, first printing. In burgundy cloth with printed labels to front cover and spine; printed dust jacket. Hardcover. Stylishly penned gift inscription dated 1926, offsetting to pages 28-29, else nearly fine; in a good dust jacket, browned, nicked, worn, creased, with a 1.5-inch triangular chip to upper spine panel.
Collection of verse by the American poet now chiefly remembered for skillfully rhymed, precisely structured dramatic poems like "Richard Cory" and "Miniver Cheevy." Robinson won the first Pulitzer for Poetry in 1922, and won again in 1925 and 1928.
