Five small brown cello-tape stains to the inside of the dust jacket, which have slightly bled through, otherwise this jacket in near fine condtion with two very tiny tears to the spine ends, no chipping. 
A nice first state dust jacket for the first edition of Anne Tyler's first novel. The jacket is priced $4.95, and has the date code "10/64" to the lower front flap. We are selling the jacket only--no book included!

SIGNED by the author to the limitation page. Fine in full dark brown leather, decorated and lettered in gilt, with hubbed spine, all edges gilt, silk endpapers, satin ribbon marker. Publisher's informational note card and Certificate of Authenticity laid in. 
Winner of the 1986 National Book Critics Circle Award, with Anne Tyler drawing praise as America's Jane Austen. Lawrence Kasdan adapted the novel into a film that won the NY Film Critics Circle's best picture award and earned Geena Davis an Oscar.
