Norwalk, Connecticut: The Easton Press, (1978). First edition thus: A Collector's Edition issued by the Easton Press in The 100 Greatest Books Ever Written series. Fine, as new, in full dark-green leather, decorated and lettered in gilt, with hubbed spine, all edges gilt, green silk moire-effect endpapers, green satin ribbon marker. Quarto. 
With the author's foreword, and an introduction by Ashley Montagu and illustrations by Mara McAfee (both originally appeared in a 1974 Cardavon Press edition). The full-color frontisportrait of Huxley was specially commissioned for this edition.

New York, Evanston, and London: Harper & Row, Publishers, (1963). First U.S. edition, first printing. Hardcover. Very nearly fine, in a like, lightly rubbed dust jacket. 
In this long essay, one of his last published works, Huxley leaps gracefully into the Snow-Leavis debate, asks, and tries to answer key questions about the relationship between science and letters, with a view toward a synthesis.
