Crocker & Co., Pritnters), (1874). First edition, first printing. 100 copies issued. Hardcover. Rubbing to the corners and joints, front and rear inner hinges cracked but holding firm, a very good plus copy in full brown leather decoratively stamped in blind, hubbed spine with titles gilt, marbled endpapers, gilt edges. Quarto. 393 pages; index. 
Historical and biographical sketches issued in celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the arrival of the steamer "California" at San Francisco in 1849. A few copies were issued with photographs--this copy lacks the photographs. Quite scarce!
