22 Moore, Ward BRING THE JUBILEE
New York: Farrar, Straus and Young, Inc., (1953). First edition. Hardcover. Very nearly fine copy in a very good plus, price-clipped, illustrated dust jacket that shows some chips to the spine panel, general wear and creasing to the shelf edges, and light staining to the rear panel.
This is Moore's classic speculative novel in which the South has won the Civil War. A poor Northern printer's handyman gets the opportunity to travel back in time from 1938 to Gettysburg, July, 1863.

23 Moore, Ward BRING THE JUBILEE
London/Melbourne/Toronto: William Heinemann Ltd, (1955). First U.K. edition, first printing. Very good: foxing to page edges, scattered light foxing within, mild bump to upper front cover, mild crimp and fading to spine crown; very good plus jacket: one-inch chip to upper spine panel, shallow chip to upper front, wear and short tears, creases.
Moore's alternative history novel, which blazed the way for the genre, imagines a US where the Civil War was won by the South. The montage jacket art is dandy in this Heinemann incarnation: an hourglass emblazoned with the dates 1952 and 1863 dominates.
