3 Daly, Elizabeth NIGHT WALK
New York/Toronto: A Murray Hill Mystery/Rinehart & Company, Inc. (1947). First edition. In indigo binding with orange lettering to spine; illustrated dust jacket with jacket design by Jack F. Cesareo. Very good minus: edges of covers darkened and abraded, jacket flap remnants adhere to both pastedowns; jacket has been trimmed by about a quarter-inch, shows fading to the spine, light wear; inner layer of flap paper has pulled away, but flaps are whole.
A Henry Gamadge mystery, set in the self-contained community of Frazier Mills, where, when Old Mr. Carrington is found in bed with his head bashed in, it was automatically assumed the culprit was from the evil outside world. Gamadge thinks not!
