Composer Hanns Eisler collaborated anonymously with his intellectual partner and friend Theodor W. Adorno on this important technical and aesthetic work. Together with Adorno and Brecht, Eisler sought new possibilites for film and theatrical music.

Inscribed and SIGNED by West to actor Richard Coogan, best known for his portrayal of Captain Video from 1949-1950. Hardcover. A couple of nicked, abraded indentations to upper shelf edges and lower spine, mild soiling and shelfwear to the covers, else very good; lacking the dust jacket. 
Based upon La West's stage sensation, in turn the basis for her sophomore screen effort, 1933's SHE DONE HIM WRONG, this reissue of the Gay Nineties-set yarn was timed to correspond with the play's 1949 Broadway revival with West reprising the title role.
